Moab 2004

To me this trip seem weird cause we went before Jesse got into 4 wheeling and so we did other things. Like mountain biking, Hiking and Repelling. We went with Michelle and Kyle. We had a sweet camp spot next to a huge wall, we will get to that wall later. We woke up in the morning and headed to slick rock. I was very intimidated but did the practice loop anyway.
"Cowboy up"
Jesse waiting impatiently for us to all be ready to go. About half way into the loop as I am pedaling up a hill I fall so hard, my shoe falls off down into a ravine, I scrape up my elbow and go get my shoe. I am pissed as ever. I decided to walk my bike back, everyone else comes with me. I felt so bad that they did not finish but my big toe might have been broke, so back to camp.
The next morning as we are having breakfast some people came into our camp and said that they wanted to repel down the wall into our camp. We say ok but they have to let us repel too. UM what that wall is like 200 feet high. I decide not to do it, plus my toe still hurts.
The boys cut their socks to cover up their sun burnt arms, what dorks!!
Jesse has no problem repelling Kyle and Michelle do it too.
That rope was a 200 foot rope and it barely touches the ground it was so high.
I decide I HAVE to do it I may never get a chance to do this again. The hike up was very easy and gradual.
This guy walked us that were scared down the wall it was really quite easy cause there was never a drop off, it just rolled off nice and easy. From here it does not look high at all.
That is half of the wall it was huge. I still can't believe I did it, but I am so glad I did cause an opportunity has not come up since.
Later that after noon we went to Arches this being my 1st time ever to Moab I really wanted to go. We just hiked a little arch loop, my toe was getting worse every minute. The boys being boys needed some food, like now. They set up the stove right there in the parking lot and made some grub.
Us under an arch.
When we got home I went to see my Aunt who was a nurse and she said yup I broke my toe. Such a memorable trip to Moab, I obviously liked it cause we go like 2 times a year if not more.

Grand Targhee, 21st Birthday, and Snowmobiling

It's 2004 and we spend a few days in Grand Targhee Ski resort in Wyoming with Jesse's dad , Sister Jaimie and Jon, and Josh I don't Know why but this is the only picture I have of that trip. I remember I was not very good at snowboarding and I eventually went off all by myself to try and teach myself how to turn. My knees were so bruised after 3 days of trying.
For my 21st birthday Jesse sent me flowers to my work they were so pretty. I remember going to Red Lobster the night before with Kyle and Michelle (Michelle and I share the same birthday) and Jesse got food poisoning and was throwing up the whole day of my birthday.
At some point during January 2004 we went snowmobiling, this was my 1st time ever being on a snow machine. To this day Jesse says he was so scared I was going to hurt my self or someone else. I guess I am crazier than I think ha ha
Aren't we so cute!!

New Years 2004!!

It is New Years Eve and we are back to Bear Lake.
The inside of the tiny cabin.
There was so much snow, we had brought with us a snow mobile this time. Can you see the wheels turning in Jesse's head?
Michelle
Kissy face anyone?
The celebration!
Kyle celebrating with Sparklers
Happy New Year Kiss!! It's 2004!!
I was on fire duty, well the boys were constantly outside playing in the snow, so if I wanted to stay warm I had to do it on my own.
What's so funny?
Michelle and I after snowboarding at Beaver Mountain.
Self timer photos
the crew!! Austin, Jesse, Me, Michelle and Kyle.
The sweet jump off the deck the boys built. Notice Austin in the bottom of the picture, funniest thing he thought he was going to wreck into something so he bailed, the video is hilarious.
The boys.
Jesse on the drive home.

The Great Snow!

It was Christmas night 2003, we had been living in Holiday, in Kyle's basement for about 3 months now. It was snowing like crazy probably over a foot by the time we had gotten home from the holiday festivities. The boys decided they wanted to go out and build a snowboard jump, big surprise.
Here they are having a cold one, out in the cold.
I love the huge snowflakes.
The ramp, I am still shocked they did not make it go off the roof.
I don't think it was quite the jump they had hoped for.
The next day, I am pretty sure we had 2 feet of snow from one storm.

River Trip 2003!!

In August or September (I can't really remember which one it was) 2003 we went on a week long river trip with Jesse's dad, Dave. I was so nervous I could not believe people actually do this for fun. Float down a river for 6 days, no shower, what about my clothes, wont they get wet, sleep in a different spot each night um and where do you go to the bathroom? I thought they were crazy.
And here I go with them. It was Me, Jesse, his dad Dave, His sister Jaimie, and Dave's brother Marv and his family.
We went on the Green River, the Desolation Gray part. It was so pretty.
Jesse rented a kayak for the trip, here he is doing a barrel roll, don't worry he perfected this trick the night before we left, in the swimming pool at our apartment.
We stopped for a little hike to some Indian Pictographs.
Jesse and Dave took turns rowing the raft and playing in the kayak.
This is Jesse's cousins, Mary Ann and Russ in one of the other rafts.
Jaimie and I swimming. The water was so warm.
This is a beach we pulled over for lunch, but we camped out in spots similar to this beach. We saw so many wild animals, mountain sheep, rabbits and we even saw a black bear. We pulled over at one spot to have lunch and explore Indian ruins, while no one was around the bear we saw snooped out our stuff, there were bear tracks all over the rafts. No pictures I only had a waterproof disposable camera.

Hard Ass!
White water.
We found a nice diving board and did some cliff jumping, Yes this is me can you believe it.
We had all of our stuff in these dry bags strapped to the raft, and yes we even had a potty strapped on there as well for those of you who are clueless like me.
Jesse sliding off some sand.
A rock formation called Nefertiti kind of cool.
Jesse and Jaimie at the take out.

This trip was so much fun, and so much work. I learned a lot.
